Our Westbury Park shop was recently shortlisted as The UK's Favourite Charity Shop in the South West, as part of the Charity Retail Association's 25th Anniversary celebrations. We're so grateful to everyone who cast a vote and we're thrilled to have won the regional category.
6,500 individual shops across the UK were nominated and over 13,000 people took part in the vote.
Harriet Wheadon, Manager of our Westbury Park Shop, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the news!
"This is a huge boost for our amazing team of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to run our shop and welcome our lovely and supportive community through the doors every day."
Our Westbury Park team hope that the win will encourage more people to visit the shop, as well as raising awareness of our shops across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
John Broomhead, our Retail Director, added: "Our charity retail offering really is second to none and to be recognised by a body like the Charity Retail Association is a testament to that.
"Shoppers are becoming both increasingly cost-conscious and sustainability-conscious so our shops, providing high quality pre-loved items at affordable prices, tick those boxes while also raising money for Hospice care."
The win for Westbury Park wouldn't be possible without the community effort that goes into to running our shops, including the high quality items donated by members of the local community, the hard work of our retail staff and Volunteers and the generosity of our supporters, who continue to make a difference to patients and their families by shopping with us.
