A big thank you to the Mark Masons of Bristol for donating a total of £17,000 to the Hospice from funds raised from the Tour de Bristol and from the Mark Benevolent Fund.
Brian from the Mark Masons explains, "The donation from the Mark Benevolent Fund is part of a Major Capital Grant of £1.3m to over 250 hospices in England, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. We were delighted to award St Peter's with £7,000 from this fund.
"Alongside this, we rounded up a team to take part in the Tour de Bristol - Virtual Ride and cycled 40km across our local countryside. One of us hadn't been on a bike for 13 years! We had all been collecting sponsorship from members of the Province, from family and from friends but were amazed as the money kept rolling in. We were thrilled to present St Peter's with a cheque for the incredible sum of £10,000."
Chloe from our Fundraising team added, "The Masons are long term and substantial supporters of the Hospice, contributing to significant developments to the Hospice site at Brentry. We were delighted to receive these donations which will help us to care for those in need across our community. We are so grateful for all of the help we receive from the Mark Masons of Bristol and the Mark Benevolent Fund."
Stephen, Senior Officer in Bristol, along with Ian, Ashley, Michael and Brian from the Mark Masons presented the funds to Chloe and Hayley from our fundraising team in a socially distanced cheque presentation outside of the Hospice recently.
Thank you to the Mark Masons of Bristol for your phenomenal support.
