Pauline was referred to St Peter's hospice in late 2020 after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. She was quickly given lots of practical support and was contacted by community nurses and social workers. As this was during Covid restrictions there were no face to face groups running at the hospice, instead courses were run online. Pauline quickly became a Zoom expert attending weekly meditation, quizzes and drop-in sessions where she could chat to like minded people in the same situation. The hospice helped Pauline have a positive focus each week. In her words, 'Knowing that support was there gave me a lot of confidence. The Hospice is brilliant, I am just so grateful.' Pauline's wishes were to spend her final days in St Peter's which she did. As a family we were in awe at the kindness of the staff and the excellent standard of care. We cannot thank them enough. The support the hospice gives is invaluable which is why it is so important their work continues as it cannot exist without fundraising. If you are to donate it will be greatly appreciated.
Rest in peace Pauline. Love from Sarah, Andy, Holly & Martha x

Pauline was such a lovely lady
The most selfless and amazingly positive lady I’ve ever had the privilege to know., I feel so incredibly fortunate to be able to have called you my friend Pauline you touched so many lives and brought so much hope, love and joy to those around you. Now it’s time to soar and be free of pain . Give Florence an extra tight hug for me. Until we meet again, all my love Rachel x
