Our grief support group for adults is a drop in session meeting at the Hospice in Brentry. It is run by a psychological therapist from our Psychological Therapies team, for people who have lost a loved one who was cared for by St Peter's Hospice.
We meet every Tuesday 1.30pm-3.00pm (please arrive for 1.30pm start). *The drop-in sessions for 29 October and 24 December have been cancelled.
The sessions are designed to help you consider your own experiences in grief, and what you are learning from them. There will be space to talk about the emotional pain of grief, a 'different normal' and suggestions for different ways grief can affect you.
We will consider how you might support yourself, look at the networks of support available, build community connections and explore the inner acts of focusing, breathwork, grounding and journaling.
Within our spacious room, there is a relaxed seating area for chat and refreshments, a discussion group facilitated by a psychological therapist, a creative area to explore your grief, and a walking and talking space in our beautiful gardens.
They are stand-alone sessions, so you can choose to attend just one session or as many as you would like.
